Community Education Classes
Both the Murray and Granite School Districts sponsor classes in a variety of art forms. These classes are an affordable way to introduce your child to the arts. Please call (801) 264-7414 for more information.

Miss Murray Pageant
Miss Murray Pageant orientation will be held May 7, 2018 at 6 pm in room 136 at MHS. Candidates must be 17-24 years of age and live within (or have parents living within) Murray City boundaries. At this orientation meeting, interested participants will find out everything they need to know about competing and what the commitment of being Miss Murray is. The 2018 Miss Murray Pageant will be held September 22, 2018, 7pm at Murray High School. $10 general admission. For further questions, contact Leesa Lloyd by email or at 801-446-9233.

Murray Arts Council
The Murray Arts Council produces one major musical each year as part of the Murray Arts in the Parks Series. Additional activities are planned from year to year (such as Murray Idol produced in 2008). They also offer an annual theater-related scholarship to individuals who have participated in their musical productions. Contact them for more information at murrayac.info@gmail.com
Murray Concert Band
The Murray Concert Band features over 40 band players from across the valley. Under the direction of Dr. Craig Ferrin, they rehearse each Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillcrest Jr High band room. They perform 4-5 times each year. To participate, contact Nanci Shino at 801-359-1900.
Murray Symphony
The Murray Symphony is a community orchestra that practices weekly on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillcrest Jr. High band room. Under the direction of Julie Christofferson, they perform 4-5 times each year. The symphony is comprised of nearly 80 musicians from throughout the valley.
