Join us for a Virtual Public Power Celebration, October 5-9, 2020.  Along with daily energy savings tips, daily prizes will be given away*. In order to qualify to win a prize, you must be a Murray City Power customer with an account in your name.  Other than that, just “Like” the daily Facebook post.

You can always choose to follow Murray City Power’s Facebook page for news on outages, community events, power-saving tips and Power Department news.  However, following our page doesn’t increase your chance of winning! Good luck and please share with your Murray City Power neighbors!

Terms and Conditions for Giveaway 

Murray City Power, a department of Murray City is sponsoring this Virtual Public Power Celebration Giveaway.  Open to residents of Murray City who have a Murray City Power account in their name.  Murray City employees and their families are not eligible to win.  To enter just like the Facebook post.  No purchase necessary. Winners will be chosen at random and consent to have their names announced on Murray City Power’s Facebook page.  Entry into the contest will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.  This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by Facebook.  Giveaways from October 5-9, 2020.

Murray City Power’s Photo Contest in Conjunction with our Virtual Public Power Celebration* 

Murray City Power is holding our first-ever contest in conjunction with our Virtual Public Power Celebration October 5-9, 2020. Send a picture of you or your family using an electric -powered device OR saving electricity to bishino@murray.utah.gov by midnight Monday, October 12. Winners will be announced on Monday, October 19. You must be a Murray City Power customer, with an account in your name, in order to qualify.  Terms and conditions apply.  The winners give permission to have their picture featured on Murray City Power’s Facebook page.

Terms and Conditions for Photo Contest 

Murray City Power, a department of Murray City is sponsoring a Photo Contest in conjunction with the Virtual Public Power Celebration. Open to residents of Murray City who have a Murray City Power account in their name. Murray City employees and their families are not eligible to win. To enter, submit a photo of electricity being used OR of something you do to conserve energy.  Submit photo entries by October 12, 2020 at midnight to: bishino@murray.utah.gov.  There is no limit on the amount of photographs each contestant may enter. Winners will be notified via email and announced on Murray City Power’s Facebook page on Monday, October 19. By submitting a photo to the contest, photo contest winners grant permission and authorize the use by Murray City and the Murray City Power Department of any and all submitted images of the contestant and/or their minor children, and any reproduction of them in any form and in any media, for publicity and educational purposes without limit or reservation, and agree that the City shall have complete ownership of such pictures.  In addition, Photo Contest winners agree to release and discharge the City, and its employees from any and all claims, actions, suits or demands of any kind whatsoever in connection with the use of the images, and waive any right they may have to inspect and/or approve the use of the images or reproductions by the City.  If the winner cannot be contacted within 5 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.  Grand prize will receive $250 credit on their Murray City Power bill.  Second prize winner will receive $100 credit on their Murray City Power bill.  Third prize will receive $50 credit on their Murray City Power bill.
