Police Department - Employee of the Year
Presented to: Terry Hoffmann - Investigations Office Specialist
Terry always creates a positive environment to those that work with her but especially in the Investigative Services Division. She is always efficient and complete when handling monthly Sex Offender Registry as well as the many cases she completes and works through for the detectives. She maintains updated and accurate calendars for the on-call detectives and ID technicians and always handles the important case reports as top priority and with accuracy and efficiency. Terry is always warm and welcoming and takes great care of all the staff in the division. From her never-ending supply of treats, to disinfecting the lobby each day and constant cleaning and organizing of our work area. Terry goes above and beyond expectations and the whole division is thankful for her.
Officer of the Year
Presented to: Officer Tyson Wendel
Officer Tyson Wendel was hired by the Murray Police Department in August of 2016. Officer Wendel is currently assigned to the Patrol Division. Although a short career with Murray Police he has established himself as an officer with integrity, accountability, resilience and reliability. He is always willing to give a helping hand and support his fellow officers. Tyson has proven to be ready and willing to serve the City, Department and most of all the citizens of Murray City.
Because of these traits and actions, he was selected by his peers as the 2019 Officer of the Year.
