Presented to: Crime Analyst Sydney Maxfield
Sydney Maxfield has been a full time Office Specialist since August 2014 where she has worked on case reports and general office duties needed for the operation of Police Records. In 2018, Sydney took on an additional assignment within her role, and has taken various classes to become the Crime Analyst for the Department. In this capacity, Sydney can assist in-house by providing stats to officers and city staff; as well as a point of contact for the community and citizens needing statistical information. Her first year has proven to be a great success!
Officer of the Year
Presented to: Detective Chaseton Smith
Detective Chaseton Smith came to work as a Cadet for the MurrayCity Police Department when he was a high school student. He quickly developed a passion for police work that led him to the Salt Lake Airport Police where he worked as an officer for several years. Chase was then able to return to his hometown of Murray where he continues to be an exemplary officer. Chase has worked as a Patrol Officer, SWAT Officer and Detective and is a great example and role model for his fellow officers.
