Murray City Parks and Recreation manages three swimming pools.
The Murray Aquatic Center is one of the most beautiful outdoor pools in the state of Utah. Nestled inside Murray Park, this amazing outdoor pool features a giant 4-story water slide, 2 1 meter diving boards, zero depth entry beach area, water toy features, and plenty of deck and grass space. The perfect place to spend your time with your family swimming, relaxing or soaking up the sun rays. Don’t forget to wear sunblock.
* see hours of operation for specific opening and closing dates
The Murray Aquatic Center may close or have amended hours due to any of the following weather conditions;
• If the air temperature forecast is less than a high of 70 degrees, we will not open. If the forecast is above 70 but current air temps are below 65 it will be the Aquatic Managers responsibility to use discretion to determine if the pool will open or if we will have a delayed opening.
• If there is threatening weather, high winds, heavy rain or thunderstorms the pools will close or possibly not open for the day. Lightning poses a serious risk of injury at the pool. In the case of Lightening, the pool will be evacuated, and people will be directed to safe shelter nearby. Pool activities will remain suspended until 30 minutes after the last thunder is heard. If it is not feasible to reopen after 45 minutes, the pool will close, and an attempt will be made to reopen the pool later in the day.
Refunds will not be given due to weather related pool closures. Please check out our Facebook and webpage for postings of pool closures. Or please call (801)290-4190 or (801)284-4200 for further information about possible closures.
