For over twenty years, a partnership has been established between the Murray City School District and the Murray City Police Department creating a School Resource Officer (SRO) program. Currently, Murray Police have SRO officers assigned to all schools within the Murray City Boundaries.
School Resource Officers (SRO) are able to develop relationships with the teachers, the administration and the students to such an extent that they are able to address situations before they become problems.
Many crimes have been solved and prevented as a result of this very effective program, providing an unsurpassed level of safety for our children as they attend school.
