Garbage & Recycling
The City contracts with Ace Disposal to pick up and dispose of solid waste for most of the City. Some areas are served by Wasatch Front Waste & Recycling District. Click here for our service area map and collection day schedule.
If you experience problems with your pick-up, please call the Ace Disposal Customer Service Center at (801) 363-9995 or Wasatch Front Waste and Recycling at (385) 468-6325 during regular business hours or after business hours.
Wasatch Front Waste and Recycling District collects garbage and recycling every holiday except New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Ace Disposal collects garbage and recycling every holiday except New Year's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. If your normal collection day is Tuesday, December 25th, please put your cans out on Wednesday, December 26th. If your normal day is the 26th, please place your cans our on the 27th. The same schedule will be in place for the other holidays.
On these holidays, our office is closed. There will be no collection or customer service available.
Curbside garbage service is $14.00 per month for one black automated refuse container and one green automated recycling container. Additional containers may be obtained for an extra $8.25 per month per container.

Containers and Pick Up Location
Automated recycling container should be placed adjacent to the driveway, within (2) two feet of the curb, at least (1) one foot from obstructions such as lamp posts and fences, at least (10) ten feet from mail boxes and at least (4) four feet from black automated refuse containers. Each automated container must remain at the property to which it is assigned and should not be moved or relocated to any other location without the City's prior written approval. Damage to any automated container caused by the property owner shall be paid for by the property owner. The City will repair or replace inoperable containers as a result of normal use.
