WOOD CHIPS ARE CLOSED FOR THE YEAR!
We are sad to announce another season has come and gone. We were able to distribute 273 loads of wood chips back to Murray residents!

FREE WOOD CHIPS - The usable yard waste, tree limbs, and shrubs collected from our green waste trailer program is consolidated and stored at our Public Services facility until there is a sufficient amount to "grind" into wood chips for reuse. We are not able to accept ANY green waste from residents or contractors.
These chips are redistributed to Murray City residents at NO COST.
Chips are given out on a first come/first served basis. Once we are officially out of wood chips we will unfortunately be closed for the remainder of the year.
Wood chips may be picked up on Fridays between noon and 3:00 p.m. while our supply lasts at the Public Services facility, 4646 South 500 West. Enter through the gate on the north side of the building. City crews will load your trailer or truck.
NO CONTRACTORS PLEASE.
The wood chip opening date will be dependent on weather, please check back for an date or announcement for the 2026 re-opening of the program!
