Murray City has partnered with seven other cities located in the southern part of the Salt Lake Valley to operate the Trans-Jordan Cities.
The Public Convenience Center services include:
- A safe and convenient unloading site for residents away from dirt and garbage trucks
- Recycling center for cardboard, plastic bottles, aluminum cans, paper and glass
- All items must be clean, dry and emptied
- Place items in the bins loose – Do not bag recyclables
- Household hazardous waste collection site
- Re-Use Shed for reusable household chemicals -free to residents
Remember all loads must be fully TARPED AND SECURED to avoid a double charge.
NO Cash (including checks) is accepted currently. Must pay with Credit / Debit Card or on an existing account.

Trans-Jordan has officially opened the new Sandy Transfer Station! This facility will be used to help residents ensure proper waste disposals.
Location: 8813 S. 700 W.
· Residents enter through the north entrance off of 700 W.
· Hours of the Transfer Station: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm
· Saturdays open to residential customers ONLY
· Cost: $20 minimum / $51 a ton
· All loads must be Covered AND Secured to avoid a double charge.
