We regret to inform you that the pilot for the Murray Transportation Assistance Program (MTAP) has come to an end. Murray City Council has determined that the funding source is no longer available. As a result, we are unable to continue the program beyond August 31st, 2024.

Murray, Utah – The Murray City Council has approved a program that provides up to $300 a month for qualifying families. 

Program details:

  • The program is open to all Murray residents who meet low-income guidelines.
  • An application must be completed by one household member, either online or via paper.
  • Households will be notified of approval or denial by email.
  • Participants will be required to sign an agreement of terms & conditions.
  • If approved, a debit card will be mailed within 7 - 10 business days.
  • Any family member living in the household may use the card(s).
  • Each eligible household will receive a Murray City debit card with up to $300 per month. Transactions will be monitored by Murray City. 
  • These funds may be used for public transportation, ride-hailing (such as Uber, Lyft, or taxi cab),, and micromobility rentals (such as bikes and scooters).
